Minimum RequirementsListed below are the minimum requirements necessary to operate WDSL: HardwareWindows Machines:

LocationIn addition to the hardware requirments above, customers will also need to have line of sight to a Wireless World transmitter. Line of sight does not mean you need to see the transmitter itself, but that signals can travel directly between your location and the transmitter. Click here to see if you are in our coverage area. PowerWDSL is an 'always on' service, meaning your connection is up 24/7. Because power reliability is less than optimal in the Virgin Islands, it is imperitive that customers consider backup and conditioned power for their computer and WDSL radio or cable modem. We recommend that an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) be used for all computer equipment and reserve the right to deny service to customers who do not have adequate power conditioning tools. SecurityIn addition to power considerations, because your computer will be directly connected to the Internet, all customers MUST invest in an Internet appliance known as a firewall that assigns DHCP. A firewall basically prevents unwanted Internet traffic from entering your computer. Wireless World has an exclusive agreement with Computer World to provide our WDSL customers with everything they need to experience a top notch safe and secure broadband Internet connection.
